President Biden’s Executive Order (13985) on Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities through the Federal Government states that “for too many, the American dream is out of their reach”. There are local, state, and federal resources that will help these communities, but the communities often lack the technical knowledge and skills needed to pursue those resources. You cannot ask for the resources to fix a poor sewage system if you do not know what system is best for you, and how much it will cost. You cannot ask to have a telemedicine site placed in your community if you don’t know the infrastructure requirements. Regrettably, these communities cannot afford to pay for this technical assistance. Often when help is provided, it does not support the specific technical needs over the long term. Their situation was not created in the short term, they need long term help to truly move forward. C2P2 can help reach the goals of the President’s Executive Order by providing vital technical assistance not just for today, but year after year in a very cost-effective way.
