C2P2 would like to announce a multi-year Memorandum of Understanding with the American Geophysical Union (AGU). AGU is an international nonprofit organization with over 100,000 members worldwide dedicated to a thriving, sustainable and equitable future supported by scientific discovery, innovation and action. Through its Thriving Earth Exchange, it advances community solutions by helping scientists, community leads, and sponsors work together to solve local challenges to natural resources, climate change, and natural hazards. C2P2 has worked with the AGU since its inception, and is currently collaborating on three projects in Alaska, Louisiana, and the Bahamas.
The MOU will include joint fundraising opportunities ; inclusion of C2P2 into Thriving Earth Exchange work on an annual basis; sharing of multimedia products on joint efforts; shared participation in outreach to organizations and networking opportunities, and many other considerations.
C2P2 would also like to thank Vice President Dr. Rajul Pandya, who strongly supported and advanced this agreement.
